Our School Curriculum
Uniquely, honoring the heritage and identity of the school, the pepeha provides a cultural context that is irrefutably Māori, local and securely grounded in the past, present and future.
The school pepeha provides the foundation for the school based curriculum. The branches of the pepeha will act as overarching contexts. Big ideas and concepts for inquiry will connect strongly to the pepeha for each term of the year.
The School learning inquiry model will function as a learning vehicle that promotes the following:
Reflects our school community
Meets the needs of our learners
Establishes a common learning language
Creates a consistent learning environment for our students
Takes into account the vision, principles, values and key competencies of New Zealand Curriculm
